Jude Blessington

  Head Varsity Coach
  Alma Mater: Ursinus College (1999)

Coach Blessington, a native of Ridley Park, PA, graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School in 1995, where he lettered in football and lacrosse. He played his college ball at DIII Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA as a linebacker and team captain in his senior season. He began his coaching career as a volunteer at Radnor High School in Radnor, PA in 1999, then coached linebackers and receivers for five years at Fort Pierce Westwood High School in Fort Pierce, FL. Blessington coached the next four seasons at Olympic Heights where he spent time as offensive and defensive coordinator, coaching linebackers, defensive backs, receivers and quarterbacks before coming to Forest Hill as offensive and defensive line coach for two seasons. Blessington accepted the job as head football coach in January 2013, staring down the daunting task of changing a dismal culture at Forest Hill—there had not been a winning season since 1986. After winning three games in his first season at the helm, the Falcons doubled that win total in 2014 with 6 victories while playing in the ultra-competitive district 13-7A. Blessington and his staff will look to build upon the success of last season and continue the upward movement to turn Forest Hill into one of the premier football programs in South Florida. Coach Blessington is excited about the upcoming season and welcomes the challenge of trying to put together back to back winning season for the first time since the 1980s. Coach Blessington resides in West Palm Beach with his wife of eight years, Valerie; sons Jude (7) and Anthony (6) and a beautiful six month old daughter, Joella.
