Varsity Girls Soccer Goes 2-1 in Season's First Week

Riviera Beach, FL- After starting off the season with a tough loss to Boynton Beach rival Park Vista, the Falcons girls varsity soccer team has rebounded nicely under the leadership of 2nd year head coach Rehena Seeden-Vargas. Last week, the Falcons opened up district play with an impressive 9-1 mercy rule victory over visiting Palm Beach Lakes in the Falcons home opener. Falcons Rally Against Crusaders

West Palm Beach, FL- The Falcons varsity girls soccer team opened up regular season play at home last night against the Crusaders of Cardinal Newman. Last year, the Falcons dropped their only matchup to the Crusaders by a score of 8-1. It was clear from the start of last night’s game that this year’s Falcons squad is much improved under the leadership of new varsity coach Rheana Seeden-Vargas. Aided by the sensational midfield play of freshmen newcomers Annelisa and Victoria Pomarico and aggressive goalkeeping from junior Kayla Nelson, the Falcons were able to claw out a 2-2 tie against the Crusaders. West Palm Beach, FL- Ask any girl on the Falcons Girls Soccer team if they know what the word adversity means and they will be able answer the question with more than a simple definition. Undoubtedly, the girls will be able to give clear cut examples of how each of them have overcome adversity to make the absolute best out of their 2015 season. Monday night at John I.
