Falcons Surge in the Pool

Stuart, FL- The Forest Hill High School Girls’ swim team is making waves in local pools as post-season nears and competition begins to heat up. This past weekend the girls competed in a huge event at the Sailfish Splash Waterpark and Aquatics Center in Stuart, Florida. Competing with just 5 girls, the Falcons managed to place 7th overall in a strong field that squads 4 to 5 times the size of the Falcons’ squad.

Each time a Falcons swimmer hit the pool during championship races, a season best time was registered and some school records were broken.

The 200 Medley Relay of sophomores Anna Auld, Mia Luna, Megan Murphy, and junior Ryan Flynn turned in a season best time and just missed setting a new school record.

The 200 meter freestyle relay team of Auld, Murphy, Flynn, and freshmen Hope Flynn finished 7th with a season best time that is closing in on the school record.

Individually, Anna Auld finished 3rd in the 200 meter freestyle and 1st in the 500 meter freestyle. Megan Murphy finished 3rd in the 50 meter freestyle and 1st in the 100 meter backstroke. Ryan Flynn finished 4th in the 200 meter individual medley and set a new school record and 3rd in the 100 meter breast stroke with a new school record.

The Falcons will come back to Palm Beach County this weekend to compete in the county championships which will start a month of post-season swimming.
