Falcons Surge Past Knights

West Palm Beach, FL- The Falcons’ girl’s varsity basketball team picked up their 2nd victory of the season last night at the Hill over Olympic Heights by a score of 52-31. The Falcons built a commanding 15-point 1st quarter lead and never looked back.

The strong Falcons offense was led by freshmen Gabby Powell with 15 points, junior Anayah Coles with 10 points, and junior Maia Lagrotta with 9 points. Adding to the Falcons fire was strong post play from sophomore center Jah’Nay Normil who had 8 points and over 10 rebounds. Sophomore Marijane Clancy and junior Shemere Todd each had 4 points and Khaniya Boyd had 2 points. Sophomore Taina Price who had 4 steals and Freshmen Lethy Guzman who had 3 blocks were standouts on defense for the Falcons.

The Falcons will be back in action on Monday, January 15 against Palm Beach Central at Forest Hill at 6:00 pm for junior varsity and 7:30 pm for varsity.
